Over 1 inch of light to moderate rainfall was observed in Logan and Yuma counties with many other neighboring regions tallying between 0.25 and 0.75 inches of rain. Across the <span class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Continental Divide&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;&amp;lt;!-- wp:paragraph {&amp;quot;textColor&amp;quot;:&amp;quot;white&amp;quot;} --&amp;gt;\n&amp;lt;p class=&amp;quot;has-white-color has-text-color&amp;quot;&amp;gt;the dividing line that separates the watersheds of the western and eastern United States; rivers west of the divide empty into the Pacific Ocean, while rivers east of the divide empty into the Atlantic Ocean or Gulf of Mexico&amp;lt;\/p&amp;gt;\n&amp;lt;!-- \/wp:paragraph --&amp;gt;&lt;\/div&gt;\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'>Continental Divide<\/span>, residual moisture caused upslope rain and snow showers in the Grand Valley, Central Mountains and Northern Mountains. However, total precipitation remained below 0.25 inches.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/archive-coftb.dewberryanalytics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/STP_20170520_snap.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4579\" src=\"https:\/\/archive-coftb.dewberryanalytics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/STP_20170520_snap.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"880\" height=\"498\"\/><\/a>bit of the recent snow was able to melt (or maybe more like compress) on Friday, but this was limited by a persistent low cloud deck especially east of the <span class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Continental Divide&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;&amp;lt;!-- wp:paragraph {&amp;quot;textColor&amp;quot;:&amp;quot;white&amp;quot;} --&amp;gt;\n&amp;lt;p class=&amp;quot;has-white-color has-text-color&amp;quot;&amp;gt;the dividing line that separates the watersheds of the western and eastern United States; rivers west of the divide empty into the Pacific Ocean, while rivers east of the divide empty into the Atlantic Ocean or Gulf of Mexico&amp;lt;\/p&amp;gt;\n&amp;lt;!-- \/wp:paragraph --&amp;gt;&lt;\/div&gt;\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'>Continental Divide<\/span>. As of this morning, many areas in the Front Range still noted a snow depth above 12 inches.<\/p>\n<p>The main riverine flooding concern was on the South Platte River, especially around the confluence with the Cache la Poudre. The flood crest occurred in that area on Friday and levels will continue to slowly recede, though this will be mitigated by melting snow over the next few days.
