Today was the most active weather day of the 2017 FTB season by far, with a few strong\/severe thunderstorms<\/span> producing heavy rain, large hail, and strong winds across eastern Colorado. Flash flooding<\/span> was reported in Weld County, verified tweets showed flooding issues across the Denver metro area, and heavy rain was reported in Pueblo and Huerfano counties. Hail was the major story yesterday, though, with reports of hail as large as 2.75 inches in Jefferson County, with many reports of hail between 1” and 2.5”.<\/p>\n

According to CoCoRaHS<\/span> observers, the big winners from yesterday’s rainfall include:<\/p>\n

Weld County: 2.59 inches
\nYuma County: 2.01 inches
\nPhilips County: 2.00 inches
\nAdams County: 1.90 inches
\nDenver County: 1.77 inches
\nDouglas County: 1.70 inches
\nPueblo County: 1.54 inches
\nLincoln County: 1.50 inches<\/p>\n
