Summary:<\/h3>\n

Deep south\/southwesterly flow aloft in advance of the upper-level low overspread increasing moisture across Colorado. This moisture was the fuel for scattered<\/span>-to-widespread<\/span> showers and thunderstorms across the High Country and scattered<\/span> activity across the Urban Corridor, Raton Ridge and Northeast Plains. In general, activity east of the mountains ended from south to north during the late evening hours. A few scattered<\/span> showers continued across the far Northeast Plains until about 2 AM before exiting the state to the north\/northeast.<\/p>\n

After 10 PM, redevelopment of isolated<\/span> showers\/weak thunderstorms developed over the Raton Ridge in association with a weak mid-level disturbance. Light rain and gusty winds were the main result. This activity came to an end ~1 AM.<\/p>\n

The most widespread<\/span> showers\/thunderstorms occurred across the High Country, where the best overlap of moisture, instability, and lift occurred. Activity was ongoing yesterday morning in isolated<\/span> fashion, becoming more scattered<\/span>, and eventually widespread<\/span>, through the afternoon and evening hours. Scattered<\/span> showers\/weak thunderstorms continue this morning across the western third of the state.<\/p>\n
