From the Northern Mountains southward across the western slope and into the San Juans, precipitation amounts were generally in the 0.25-0.50&rdquo; range. Some notable rain gauge observations include:<\/p>\n<p>&bull; 0.55&rdquo; near Dolores<br>\n&bull; 0.42&rdquo; southwest of Durango<br>\n&bull; 0.39&rdquo; east of Bayfield<br>\n&bull; 0.31&rdquo; near Placerville<br>\n&bull; 0.30&rdquo; near Buford<br>\n&bull; 0.29&rdquo; and 0.28&rdquo; near Glenwood Springs<\/p>\n<p>East of the <span class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Divide&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;&amp;lt;!-- wp:paragraph {&amp;quot;textColor&amp;quot;:&amp;quot;white&amp;quot;} --&amp;gt;\n&amp;lt;p class=&amp;quot;has-white-color has-text-color&amp;quot;&amp;gt;the dividing line that separates the watersheds of the western and eastern United States; rivers west of the divide empty into the Pacific Ocean, while rivers east of the divide empty into the Atlantic Ocean or Gulf of Mexico&amp;lt;\/p&amp;gt;\n&amp;lt;!-- \/wp:paragraph --&amp;gt;&lt;\/div&gt;\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'>Divide<\/span> saw a relatively dry Tuesday for most locations. However, an area of showers and storms did impact the northern half of the Northeast Plains before dawn this morning, mainly along and north of the I-76 corridor, producing the heaviest rainfall amounts of the past 24 hours. <span class=\"glossaryLink\"  aria-describedby=\"tt\"  data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;QPE&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;&amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;Q&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt;uantitative &amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;P&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt;recipitation &amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;E&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt;stimate; an estimate of the amount of precipitation that has fallen at a particular location or across a region based on several different data sources, such as radar or satellite; QPE is often calculated using remotely-sensed data sources&lt;\/div&gt;\"  data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'>QPE<\/span> data suggests a general swath of 0.25-0.50&rdquo; along with localized amounts approaching and exceeding 1.00&rdquo;, particularly across Logan, Sedgwick, and Phillips Counties. Rain gauge coverage is sparse, with the highest rain gauge observation in this region being 0.40&rdquo; near Crook.<\/p>\n<p>No flooding was reported yesterday.
