Subtropical moisture continues to linger under the ridge over the San Juan Mountains and surrounding area, which will allow for another day of storm development over the high terrain. <span class=\"glossaryLink\"  aria-describedby=\"tt\"  data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;PW&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;(Stands for: Precipitable Water) The total atmospheric water vapor contained in a vertical column of the atmosphere. It is typically measured in inches, and anomalously (deviation from normal) high values of precipitable water generally correlate to heavy rainfall potential.&lt;\/div&gt;\"  data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'>PW<\/span> values have likely dropped a little since yesterday, and should continue to do so throughout the day, causing storms to be more <span class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;isolated&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;less than 10% areal coverage&lt;\/div&gt;\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'>isolated<\/span> in nature. Still, looking at better moisture amounts when compared Grand Junction and Platteville where morning <span class=\"glossaryLink\"  aria-describedby=\"tt\"  data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;PW&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;(Stands for: Precipitable Water) The total atmospheric water vapor contained in a vertical column of the atmosphere. While some <span class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;training&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;Continuous or repeated rainfall over the same region&nbsp;in a relatively short time span. Training thunderstorms can produce very high rainfall totals and cause flash flooding.&lt;\/div&gt;\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'>training<\/span> storms may help boost local accumulations, the smaller storm cores are only expected to produce brief downpours, which should limit their flood potential. So, flooding is NOT expected. Max 30-minute rain rates up to 0.6 inches and <span class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;isolated&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;less than 10% areal coverage&lt;\/div&gt;\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'>isolated<\/span> storm totals up to 0.85 inches will be possible if a couple of storms track over the same area. Outside of localized runoff under the storm cores, flooding is NOT expected. A couple stronger storms may produce some hail and lightning. Afternoon temperatures will be on the rise with upper 80s &deg;F and low 90s &deg;F returning to the valleys.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Primetime: 1:30PM to 8PM<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Southeast Mountains, Front Range, Northern Mountains, Central Mountains, San Luis Valley, Raton Ridge, Urban Corridor, Palmer Ridge, Northwest Slope, Grand Valley, Northeast Plains &amp; Southeast Plains:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mostly sunny skies are forecast today with temperatures expected to increase another 10&deg;F or so from yesterday.
