Weak showers and storms were strictly confined to the high elevations and foothills, with the highest, albeit still <span class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;scattered&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;25-40% areal coverage&lt;\/div&gt;\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'>scattered<\/span> at best, coverage over the southern mountains and Raton Ridge. Precipitation totals were light, with rain gauge observations of T-0.20&rdquo; where rain was observed. The heaviest rain fell across Costilla and southwestern Las Animas Counties, where <span class=\"glossaryLink\"  aria-describedby=\"tt\"  data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;QPE&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;&amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;Q&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt;uantitative &amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;P&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt;recipitation &amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;E&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt;stimate; an estimate of the amount of precipitation that has fallen at a particular location or across a region based on several different data sources, such as radar or satellite; QPE is often calculated using remotely-sensed data sources&lt;\/div&gt;\"  data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'>QPE<\/span> data suggests localized amounts up to 0.50&rdquo;. Temperatures remained hot across the state, as well.<\/p>\n<p>No flooding was reported yesterday; if you observe flooding in your area, remember to use the &ldquo;Report a Flood&rdquo; page to make any flood reports when you can safely do so.
