It was also the summer solstice! This is the longest day of the year and first official day of summer- although it may not have felt like it with the cooler temperatures.<\/p>\n<p>Precipitation totals were generally in the range of 0.10&rdquo;-0.46&rdquo;, and most rainfall was observed in our easternmost counties near the borders of Kansas and New Mexico. No thunderstorm or severe weather warnings were issued.<\/p>\n<p>As mentioned before, most of the state was dry- <span class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;trace&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;a descriptor used when precipitation occurs, but the amount is too small (less than 0.01&amp;quot;) to be measured by a weather instrument such as a rain gauge&lt;\/div&gt;\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'>trace<\/span> to a few hundredths of an inch amounts were observed very sparingly in the Southwest Slope and San Juan Mountains- <span class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;trace&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;a descriptor used when precipitation occurs, but the amount is too small (less than 0.01&amp;quot;) to be measured by a weather instrument such as a rain gauge&lt;\/div&gt;\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'>trace<\/span> near Pagosa Springs, 0.01&rdquo; near La Plata, 0.02&Prime; near Durango- but that was about it for precipitation outside the southeast.<\/p>\n<p>The <span class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;hyetograph&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;a graph depicting rainfall intensity over time&lt;\/div&gt;\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'>hyetograph<\/span> below from McClave, Colorado on the Southeast Plains shows long-duration, low-intensity precipitation starting early yesterday afternoon lasting into the evening, associated with a plume of subtropical moisture. Several <span class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;CoCoRaHS&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;&amp;lt;!-- wp:paragraph {&amp;quot;textColor&amp;quot;:&amp;quot;white&amp;quot;} --&amp;gt;\n&amp;lt;p class=&amp;quot;has-white-color has-text-color&amp;quot;&amp;gt;&amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;Co&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt;mmunity &amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;Co&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt;llaborative &amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;Ra&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt;in, &amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;H&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt;ail, and &amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;S&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt;now Network, a volunteer network of precipitation observers across the country&amp;lt;\/p&amp;gt;\n&amp;lt;!-- \/wp:paragraph --&amp;gt;&lt;\/div&gt;\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'>CoCoRaHS<\/span> remarks in the same area observed less, but similar, totals that also reflect the nature of the precipitation, with reports of mist and sprinkles lasting most of the day.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/archive-coftb.dewberryanalytics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/mm_time_chart_dyn_CSU87_20220622.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-17856\" src=\"https:\/\/archive-coftb.dewberryanalytics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/mm_time_chart_dyn_CSU87_20220622-300x135.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"933\" height=\"420\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive-coftb.dewberryanalytics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/mm_time_chart_dyn_CSU87_20220622-300x135.png 300w, https:\/\/archive-coftb.dewberryanalytics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/mm_time_chart_dyn_CSU87_20220622.png 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 933px) 100vw, 933px\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There was no flooding reported yesterday.
