Precipitation totals across the region were very low, ranging from only <span class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;trace&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;a descriptor used when precipitation occurs, but the amount is too small (less than 0.01&amp;quot;) to be measured by a weather instrument such as a rain gauge&lt;\/div&gt;\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'>Trace<\/span> to about 0.15 inches, with the exception of the extreme northwest corner of the state. Two MesoWest Gauges in Moffat County near the Utah and Wyoming borders picked up 0.27 and 0.32 inches of rainfall. Due to the remote location and distance from any radars, these observations are not easily reflected in the <span class=\"glossaryLink\"  aria-describedby=\"tt\"  data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;QPE&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;&amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;Q&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt;uantitative &amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;P&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt;recipitation &amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;E&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt;stimate; an estimate of the amount of precipitation that has fallen at a particular location or across a region based on several different data sources, such as radar or satellite; QPE is often calculated using remotely-sensed data sources&lt;\/div&gt;\"  data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'>QPE<\/span> below. While peak gusts were slightly lower than yesterday, high winds were still reported across Western and Southern Colorado. Walsenburg, which reported an 86-mph gust two days ago, saw another 77 mph non-thunderstorm gust yesterday. In terms of temperature, stations all across the Southeast Plains reached into the 90s yesterday including 97 degrees in Lamar and 98 in Granada!<\/p>\n\n\n<p>There were no flood reports yesterday.
