Late morning to early afternoon rainfall totals were highest in the Southwest Slope, with 24-hour accumulations around the Utah-Colorado border between 0.63-0.76 inches according to <span class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;CoCoRaHS&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;&amp;lt;!-- wp:paragraph {&amp;quot;textColor&amp;quot;:&amp;quot;white&amp;quot;} --&amp;gt;\n&amp;lt;p class=&amp;quot;has-white-color has-text-color&amp;quot;&amp;gt;&amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;Co&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt;mmunity &amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;Co&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt;llaborative &amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;Ra&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt;in, &amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;H&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt;ail, and &amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;S&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt;now Network, a volunteer network of precipitation observers across the country&amp;lt;\/p&amp;gt;\n&amp;lt;!-- \/wp:paragraph --&amp;gt;&lt;\/div&gt;\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'>CoCoRaHS<\/span> observers.<\/p>\n<p>Daytime heating allowed for more <span class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;widespread&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;greater than 60% areal coverage&lt;\/div&gt;\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'>widespread<\/span> shower and thunderstorm development across Western and Central Colorado, and then the Front Range Mountains before spilling onto the Urban Corridor and Palmer Ridge.  Most of the Urban Corridor received some rainfall yesterday, though rainfall rates and total precipitation varied, <span class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;trace&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;a descriptor used when precipitation occurs, but the amount is too small (less than 0.01&amp;quot;) to be measured by a weather instrument such as a rain gauge&lt;\/div&gt;\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'>Trace<\/span> &ndash; 0.20 inches were reported between Fort Collins and Castle Rock.  <\/p>\n<p>A Flood Advisory was issued shortly after 5:00 pm yesterday in the Northern Mountains, including a portion of the East Troublesome burn area and CO-125, after Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms.  A minor debris flow did occur on CO-125 yesterday in Grand County due to recent rain. <span class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;CDOT&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;&amp;lt;!-- wp:paragraph {&amp;quot;textColor&amp;quot;:&amp;quot;white&amp;quot;} --&amp;gt;\n&amp;lt;p class=&amp;quot;has-white-color has-text-color&amp;quot;&amp;gt;&amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;C&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt;olorado &amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;D&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt;epartment &amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;o&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt;f &amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;T&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt;ransportation&amp;lt;\/p&amp;gt;\n&amp;lt;!-- \/wp:paragraph --&amp;gt;&lt;\/div&gt;\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'>CDOT<\/span> crews were able to quickly clear the highway without closure and no injuries were reported.  The Grand County Sherriff shared the following video on twitter taken from a Deputy traversing the debris flow. The Hwy remained open &amp; did not close, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ColoradoDOT?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@ColoradoDOT<\/a> crews cleared the mud\/debris. Training thunderstorms can produce very high rainfall totals and cause flash flooding.&lt;\/div&gt;\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'>Training<\/span> thunderstorms produced between 0.80-1.43 inches of rain across Colorado Springs.
