A RAWS station on the southern extent of the burn scar recorded 0.18 inches in an hour, as seen in the precipitation accumulation time series plot below. Thankfully, no flooding was reported. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/archive-coftb.dewberryanalytics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/mm_time_chart_dyn-3.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/archive-coftb.dewberryanalytics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/mm_time_chart_dyn-3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"270\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-15599\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive-coftb.dewberryanalytics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/mm_time_chart_dyn-3.png 600w, https:\/\/archive-coftb.dewberryanalytics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/mm_time_chart_dyn-3-300x135.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As storms moved eastward off the mountains, limited available moisture dampened precipitation accumulations from thunderstorms. According to <span class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;CoCoRaHS&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;&amp;lt;!-- wp:paragraph {&amp;quot;textColor&amp;quot;:&amp;quot;white&amp;quot;} --&amp;gt;\n&amp;lt;p class=&amp;quot;has-white-color has-text-color&amp;quot;&amp;gt;&amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;Co&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt;mmunity &amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;Co&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt;llaborative &amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;Ra&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt;in, &amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;H&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt;ail, and &amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;S&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt;now Network, a volunteer network of precipitation observers across the country&amp;lt;\/p&amp;gt;\n&amp;lt;!-- \/wp:paragraph --&amp;gt;&lt;\/div&gt;\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'>CoCoRaHS<\/span> and MesoWest observations across the area, only <span class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;trace&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;a descriptor used when precipitation occurs, but the amount is too small (less than 0.01&amp;quot;) to be measured by a weather instrument such as a rain gauge&lt;\/div&gt;\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'>Trace<\/span> &ndash; 0.11 inches of rain fell.  Instead, the main phenomena observed were high winds. Thunderstorm wind gusts exceeding 50 mph were reported across the Urban Corridor and adjacent Northeast Plains, from Keenseburg to Castle Rock&ndash; including a 63 mph wind gust recorded at KAPA-Centennial Airport. <\/p>\n<p>No flooding was reported on Tuesday. The map is updated daily during the operational season (May 1 &ndash; Sep 30) by 11AM.
