This was a result of some <span class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;widespread&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;greater than 60% areal coverage&lt;\/div&gt;\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'>widespread<\/span> thunderstorms associated with the low-pressure <span class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;trough&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;An elongated area of relatively low atmospheric pressure; the opposite of a ridge.&lt;\/div&gt;\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'>trough<\/span> and cold front that pushed across the state yesterday. These storms did have severe potential, and five <span class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;severe thunderstorm&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;Thunderstorms that produce a tornado, winds of at least 58 mph (50 kts) and\/or hail at least 1&amp;quot; in diameter.&lt;\/div&gt;\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]'>Severe Thunderstorm<\/span> Warnings were issued for storms on the Eastern Plains. Flooding was not reported on Saturday, for rainfall estimates in your area, check out our State Precipitation Map below.<\/p>\n<p>Along with the severe potential, yesterday was also another day with a number of high wind reports, this time from both non-thunderstorm and thunderstorm winds alike. Reports came in across the state, from Cortez in southwest, Boulder along the Front Range, and Springfield in the southeast. The highest wind report was 70 mph winds in Prowers County! The map is updated daily during the operational season (May 1 &ndash; Sep 30) by 11AM.
